The Power of Yum!
We invite you to join us at The Power of Yum! New, interactive, informative, and practical solutions for taste and nutrition challenges during and after treatment cancer patients, family, friends, oncology nurses, and oncology dieticians. This seminar describes a cancer-reducing diet and explores food solutions to common problems of taste changes, decreased appetite, nausea, and constipation during and after receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The “State of the Science between Cancer and Nutrition” will also be presented. Speakers are Donald Abrams, MD, Integrative Oncologist, UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine and Chief of Oncology/Hematology, San Francisco General Hospital; Natalie Ledesma, RD, MS, Oncology Dietician, UCSF Helen Diller Family Cancer Center; Rebecca Katz, MS, Chef and Culinary Translator; Theresa Koetters, RN, MS, Oncology Nurse and Assistant Clinical Professor, UCSF School of Nursing. This is sponsored by the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society with support from the Cancer Prevention Institute of California.

Registration includes a copy of Chef Katz’s new book. Registration deadline is Friday, April 16th.
